The service
TODAY SMS sells temporary use of phone numbers for receiving SMS, mainly verification codes. A number is bought for one app in one country and receives SMS for 20 minutes. Numbers receive SMS only; they cannot make or receive calls or send messages.
Your account
Your account is identified by a token. Anyone with the token can use the account, so keep it private. We cannot recover a lost token or move a balance to another account.
Balance and prices
Numbers are paid from your prepaid balance in US dollars. The price shown before you buy is the price charged. Prices change with supply and may differ from one moment to the next.
Allowed use
You may not use numbers for fraud, to take over accounts that are not yours, for harassment, for spam, to break the law where you or the app operate, or to break the terms of the app you use them for. We may close accounts used this way and keep records needed to deal with abuse.
What we do not promise
Apps decide whether they accept a number and whether they send an SMS. We do not promise that a given app will accept a given number. When no SMS arrives you get your money back as described in the refund policy.
API
API keys follow the same rules as the website. Too many requests may be limited. Do not share your key.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the last change. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
